Description
Composition
The Anja Composition combines left- or right-hand settee modules, a fireside chair and, in selected arrangements, a shelf. Ten factory configurations span 3,900 to 5,000 mm wide, with an unclipping system that permits individual modules to be moved.
Construction
The modules pair a multi-ply body with foam facing and quilted polyester. Seat support comes from elastic webbing below high-resilience Bultex cushioning. New duck feathers supplement foam in the loose back elements. Moulded particleboard, plywood and dark walnut veneer form the tablet.
Representative size
Without its small loose back cushions, the named asymmetrical settee, fireside chair and shelf configuration is 4,400 mm wide, 1,370 mm deep and 780 mm high.
Story
A movable interior element
Jean-Philippe Nuel approached Anja as interior architecture built from seating parts, not as a fixed linear sofa. Rounded units can be unclipped and repositioned, allowing the assembled outline to open, close or change direction.
Configuration through parts
The official range combines handed settee modules with a fireside chair, loose back cushions and an optional veneered tablet. Complete assemblies retain clear names for each constituent piece.
