Description
Overview
The Solar daybed is a padded piece designed by Faye Toogood for Tacchini. The cushion-stack look is only an impression: the piece sits between sculptural shape and softness and reworks the padding that Tacchini is known for.
Construction
Inside is a wooden frame. One-component polyurethane foam and multi-density polyurethane foam form the padding. The piece is covered in fabric or leather, chosen from 28 fabrics and 5 leathers. Crinkling in the fabric is intended and gives the quilted cushions a softer texture.

Story
Cushion-stack impression
Solar is a comfortable, padded daybed whose appearance recalls piled cushions, although it is a single designed piece. It reworks Tacchini's well-known padding, balancing sculptural shapes with softness.
Tactility of the cover
Crinkling in the fabric is intentional, which makes the quilted cushions feel softer. Faye Toogood invites one to relax and enjoy that soft tactility.
