Story
An homage to the viaduct
Saragosse is Alain Gilles's homage to the viaduct, the work of art that runs above a river, an inlet or any other obstacle. A viaduct is larger in height or length, sometimes both, than would be necessary to span the void it crosses. Gilles carried that idea into a low table and a sofa end table, each with a marble top set into a structure and base in solid ash.
The occasional table
The occasional table stands 450 mm high on a 420 mm diameter top, and both of its top finishes, Corsé marble and Verde marble, are listed at that size.
