Saké seating system
Piero Lissoni's 2017 Saké is organised around a raised platform, with backs, arms and cushions added in multiple arrangements.
SK310 dimensions
The official drawing labels the straight sofa 310 cm wide, 106.5 cm deep and 67.5 cm high. The seat-support level is 41 cm.
Platform construction
Steel tubes and profiles form the internal frame, while flexible cold-shaped polyurethane pads the seat, back and arms. Rounded steel supports raise the platform 19 cm from the ground.
Story
Platform and enclosure
B&B Italia compares the base to a suspended carpet, grounded by rounded steel feet. Seats come in three sizes, and linear or embracing backs can be combined with arms of different dimensions.
Cushion detailing
Modular stitching defines the seat, while profiled bands outline two sizes of back cushion. The wider system also includes a sofa bed using related seat and back elements.
