  • Three versions, each in a different combination of muted greys, all three tone (smooth)

Specifications

  • Fact sheet front view: 410 mm wide, 375 mm high; the depth is not printed

Story

Paper folding in aluminium

Vitra's page says the Prismatic Table follows a purely geometric design inspired by traditional Japanese paper folding techniques. Three elements of folded sheet aluminium join to form a three-legged table with a hexagonal top.

Colours that form patterns

The page says Noguchi first designed the tables in different colours, and that side by side they showed kaleidoscope-like patterns. Vitra returned to the idea with three versions in muted greys.
