Overview
The Noguchi Table is a coffee table by the sculptor Isamu Noguchi, introduced by Herman Miller in 1948 according to the product page.
Construction
A 3/4-inch plate-glass top on two curved, interlocking solid-wood legs that form a self-stabilising tripod, in walnut, Noguchi Black, white oak or white ash.
Specifications
Overall 50 in wide, 36 in deep and 15.75 in high. The solid wood base comes in walnut, Noguchi Black, white oak or white ash. It is made of three pieces.
Story
Where the table came from
Herman Miller's design story quotes Noguchi's autobiography: a coffee table he was asked to design for T. H. Robsjohn-Gibbings reappeared in an advertisement for the English designer while Noguchi was interned in Arizona, and on his return he made his own variant of his own table.

An illustration that became a table
That variant illustrated George Nelson's article "How to Make a Table", and the table in the illustration became his coffee table. Noguchi said it was the only true success among his furniture designs.
