Description
Overview
The Polar sofa takes its cue from glacial scenery, with majestic ice blocks of irregular shapes floating freely in northern seas. PearsonLloyd designed it as a dynamic, versatile system that answers the needs of contemporary living.
Construction
The sofa has a wooden frame, one-component polyurethane foam and a fabric or leather finish. Seats and backrests have solid volumes and oblique cuts and can be combined freely.

The sofa measures 234 x 107 x 69 cm (W x D x H).
Story
From glacial landscapes
Polar draws on the intrinsic forms of natural Arctic landscapes. For the sofa, the starting point is the glacial scene in which irregular ice blocks drift freely across northern seas.
Combined freely
Seats and backrests with solid volumes and oblique cuts can be combined freely into up to six different seating configurations. An armchair and an original piece that works as a seat or a table complete the system.
