Overview
Pix Lamp Ceiling Ø45 EU White is a globe-shaped ceiling light. Its shade comes from recycled plastic waste, and a canopy in silver-painted steel carries it. The lamp can go straight onto the power outlet or take a power cord through a hole in the side of the canopy.
Construction
Rotational moulding turns 90% LDPE and 10% PE into the shade, and the socket is aluminium. A silicon plug closes the canopy hole when the lamp is hardwired. The lamp takes an E27 bulb, and the power cord and the bulb are bought separately.
Specifications
Ø45 x H48 cm (Pix Lamp Ceiling Ø45 EU White, 608402). Class II, IP20, 220-240 V at 50/60 Hz, 10 W maximum.
Story
A moon-like globe for the ceiling
Pix Lamp Ceiling carries the globe silhouette of the Pix range up to the ceiling. With the lamp off, the thick shade of granulated plastic waste appears opaque; switched on, it turns translucent and moon-like.
Added in 2023
Pix Lamp is a Simon Legald design, and the ceiling and wall versions followed from Normann Copenhagen in July 2023. This Ø45 version is recommended for ceiling use only.
