Description

Overview

Roberto Lazzeroni designed the Peek-a-Book desk to bring the elegance and comfort of a Poltrona Frau office into the domestic setting. A generous work surface and a design that revisits the materials, warmth and style of his residential collections come with the functions of a "genuine" office desk.

Construction

  • Structure: solid ash with triangular cross-section, stained wenge or moka
  • Top: shaped, made of poplar plywood panels counter veneered with MDF; the curved front is moulded polyurethane foam
  • Upholstery: Pelle Frau ColorSphere leather on the top, the front and sides of the drawers and the access doors, with no visible stitching
  • Storage: two front drawers and two compartments behind them, reached through doors at the side

Specifications

183 x 91.5 x 75 cm (W x D x H)

Story

Leather folded like a book cover

One sheet of poplar plywood in Pelle Frau leather is bent over on itself to make both the base and the desktop and to carry the two drawers. The result has the visual effect of a valuable leather-bound book, which symbolises the function of the desk.

Technology kept out of sight

The two compartments behind the drawers are prepared as a conduit for cables and can house multi-sockets or electric cabling. A smartphone induction charger can be fitted as an option.
