Overview
Pavilion AV6 is an indoor lounge chair from Anderssen & Voll, introduced in 2018. Its wider seat and slightly laid-back posture invite relaxed sitting, while its curving veneer shell and tubular frame keep the profile visually light.
Construction
The chair combines bent steel tubes with pressed veneer. The veneer back and seat receive a water-based lacquer; the seat uses CMHR foam and is upholstered in fabric or leather. The base is black powder-coated steel, with black or brass fittings.
Specifications
The representative AV6 measures 69 cm wide, 65 cm deep and 70 cm high, with a 38 cm seat height, 52 cm seating depth and 59 cm armrest height. Plastic gliders are installed; felt gliders can be requested.
Story
A continuous line
The official product page describes the Pavilion lounge chair as resembling a rope that has come undone. Anderssen & Voll translate that image into a continuous flow from the curving wood veneer seat and back to the steel tubes that form the armrests and legs.
A broader invitation
Compared with its Pavilion chair cousin, AV6 is slightly laid back and has a wider seat. That proportion gives the AV6 lounge chair a more generous posture, while the official page describes this chair as airy from any angle. The design dates to 2018, is intended for indoor environments and is produced in Latvia by Kvist Industries A/S.
