Description
Overview
Patio Teak is GamFratesi's wood-framed development of the Patio outdoor seating system. Its modular platform combines solid teak with cast aluminium supports and a woven backrest.
Construction
The 70 mm solid-teak frame is kiln-dried and CNC-worked. Dowel-reinforced finger joints form its angled corners. Stainless-steel backrests carry woven polypropylene ribbon and connect through cast aluminium plates.
Representative Size
A 286 x 98 cm teak sofa uses a 90 cm seating module. No overall height accompanies this configuration.
Story
Patio in Wood
Patio Teak evolves an earlier aluminium system through a solid wooden supporting platform while retaining the wrapped backrest language and metal connecting components.
Compositional Mosaic
GamFratesi conceived the system as individual elements that can be juxtaposed. Seating modules can be interspersed with tables, benches and ottomans; some units add a grooved teak top that allows water to drain.
