Description
Overview
GamFratesi's Ruffle for Minotti is a modular system with a broad one-piece seat and a backrest that slopes slightly in a trapezoid. Paired padded bands run around the structure like an endless quilt, with lengthwise stitching over back and seat. In the offset version the backrest reaches sideways to hold open wood compartments or side tables.

Construction
Plywood and layered polyurethane foam of varying density form the structure, which is covered by quilted polyester fibre laminated to cotton and foam. Backrest cushions hold channelled goose down. The upholstery lifts off entirely in every version. Feet are tubular metal in polished chrome, with polished brushed aluminium uprights.
Specifications
Ruffle sofa 262 cm: 262 cm wide, 116 cm deep and 80 cm high in the side view's highest reading, the seat at 40 cm and a second reading of 64 cm. Feet are 8 cm high as standard, and 11 cm feet are available without extra charge when asked for with the order. Wood components are FSC certified.
Story
Generous and relaxed
Minotti presents Ruffle as a welcoming seating system with generous proportions, where soft volumes and formal precision live together. It is called free and informal, a modular system that reads contemporary lifestyle with originality and authenticity.
Bands like cushions
What gives Ruffle its identity, says Minotti, is the pairing of bands padded like soft cushions, cut and stitched with precision, that follow the outline of the structure and build the impression of an endless quilt. Corners joined at 45 degrees are offered as evidence of careful artisanal attention.
