Overview
Passport Work Table is a compact, height-adjustable table that Herman Miller designed to move between a home office, a living room, a studio bedroom or an office nook, in a small and a large size.
Construction
A lightweight single-column base carries a pneumatic lift operated by a lever, so it needs no power source. Tops are laminate or veneer, with a new plywood edge option. The large table has casters or glides, the small table glides only; a privacy screen and bag hook are optional on the large table.
Specifications
The large table has a 27 in by 20 in surface and a 27 to 45 in height range on casters; the small table has a 22 in by 16 in surface and a 19 to 31 in range.
Story
A desk that moves with you
Herman Miller frames Passport as a workspace for any place: a table that is untethered, light enough to pull up wherever you are working, and sized for a laptop, a notebook and a drink. It is described as intentionally compact, large enough for the essentials and small enough for tight spaces.
Comfort at any height
The brochure describes a simple, intuitive lever that adjusts the table smoothly across a range of heights, from seated tweaks on the small table to a change between sitting and standing on the large one, with 12 in and 18 in of adjustment respectively.
