Overview
Ambit Storage is a set of slim personal storage units for Herman Miller height-adjustable tables, in suspended and pedestal versions for small or transient personal items.
Construction
The case is painted metal. Suspended units raise and lower with the work surface; the pedestal stands on a foot or casters and nests into the Ambit Shroud. Options include drawers, an open configuration, key locks, a cushion top, felt liner, laminate and filing inserts and the Ambit Cork Tray.
Specifications
Large suspended storage measures 10.2 in wide, 16 in deep and 22 in high; the pedestal is 22.1 in high, 10.2 in wide and 16.7 in deep.
Story
Storage that moves with the table
Herman Miller designed the suspended units to move up and down together with the work surface so personal items stay easy to reach, while the pedestal version nests into the shroud for more legroom and a cleaner workspace.
A slim, retrofit system
The product sheet describes a minimalist, narrow design with rounded edges that keeps the footprint small, and a retrofit approach in which units can be fitted, exchanged or taken away while the table stays in place.
