Story
An artist's puzzle
In 1969 Perriand designed the screen for the home of the Japanese ambassador to France. The sheet calls the result an artist's puzzle and a small architectural composition, and a masterpiece of perseverance.
Many shapes
The large number of blocks lets the screen be moulded into different forms and gives its movement a sinuous, micro-mesh-like quality.
