Description
Overview
Orsola is a sofa by Gastone Rinaldi, a 1970 project that Tacchini has reissued with full respect for its original spirit. It can be defined by four key words, roundness, comfort, tradition and innovation, which shape a modern and refined sofa that is above all soft and relaxing.
Construction
Inside is a wooden frame, softened with multi-density polyurethane foam; the outer layer is fabric or leather. The visible structure is color-coated or polished steel, and the exposed chrome metal frame carries the generous volumes of the backrest and seat.
Specifications
Orsola measures 240 x 99 x 70.5 cm (W x D x H).
Story
A 1970 icon of softness
Gastone Rinaldi created Orsola in 1970 as an icon of softness and modernity, pairing rounded shapes with a chrome metal structure. Tacchini reissues the sofa and keeps its original essence, with comfort and innovation in balance.
Handcrafted, with new padding
Master upholsterers make Orsola by hand, as they did fifty years ago, now with next-generation padding that adds to its contemporary comfort. The exposed metal frame contrasts pleasantly with the soft volumes.
