Overview
The Orion armchair is the low armchair of Giampiero Tagliaferri's Orion seating system for Minotti, listed on its page as "LOW - ARMCHAIR 142 CM". Its frame is metal with a Chrome finish, metal varnished Black Coffee, or leather-clad metal, carried on adjustable feet.

Construction
- Plywood structure coated in CFC-free, variable-density polyurethane foam of high resilience
- Backrest cushion in channelled goose down around a 70 x 70 cm polyurethane insert
- Perimeter frame in Chrome metal, in Black Coffee varnished metal, or in leather-clad metal
- Base 11 cm high as standard; 2 cm spacers raise it
- FSC certified wood components

Story
Part of a new seating system
Minotti showed Orion in May 2026 at Salone del Mobile.Milano as one of three new seating systems in its 2026 Collection, with Ruffle by GamFratesi and Softcase by Hannes Peer. The armchair is the single-seat element of the system, and the page also lists an Orion coffee table and an outdoor line.
Stitching and tailoring
Seat and armrest upholstery carry top-stitching that runs towards the centre. The seat has an extra soft top-stitching, and the cushions are stitched down the middle.
