Description
Overview
Orbit is a side table by Faye Toogood for Tacchini. Its soft rounded edges invite a hand to slide along them, following the trajectory drawn by the contrasting leather inlay in the top.
Construction
The top is lacquered MDF with a hide insert, and the base is MDF covered in hide. The curved legs are wrapped in leather and finished with soft pebble-like forms, and the central inlay of the top is rounded.

Story
Concentric ovals
The top carries concentric ovals that are intentionally non-uniform, and they reflect the tactile, emotional creative process of Faye Toogood. The rounded leather inlay sits in the middle of the lacquered surface.
Light on the curves
Orbit takes its name from the way light wraps around the surfaces of the table, following the soft curves of the wood. Cosmic is the collection this table comes from, developed together with the designer.
