Description

Overview

Christophe Delcourt designed the Noor coffee table for Minotti. Its sculptural shape is grounded in a material with the plasticity of ceramics, made with an ancient, hand-crafted technique that gives each piece a unique personality.

Construction

Two truncated cones merge into a single shape. The table is ceramic, finished in glossy Platinum or glossy Bronze; both metal finishes need an additional firing after vitrification to bond the metal to the glaze. The interior is filled with multi-use polyurethane foam to optimise the durability of the ceramic, and protective felt glides are fitted.

Specifications

  • Overall size: 40.5 x 36 x 45 cm (W x D x H)
  • Material: ceramic, filled with multi-use polyurethane foam
  • Finishes: glossy Platinum, glossy Bronze

Story

Ceramic with the plasticity of clay

The Noor coffee table takes its sculptural shape from a material with the plasticity of ceramics. An ancient, hand-crafted technique lends each piece a unique personality.

Two cones, two metal finishes

Two truncated cones merge into a single, unique shape, and the choice of Bronze or Platinum underscores its iconic personality. Because the metal has to bond to the glaze, the ceramic piece goes through an additional firing after vitrification.
