Overview
The Newood Light chair by Brogliato Traverso is the ultra-light version of the studio's Newood chair, a family inspired by classic Windsor chairs. It keeps the characteristics of the original design and loses weight by eliminating the 8 rods in the backrest.
Construction
The structure is solid ash in four stained or bleached finishes. The seat is ash veneered beech plywood in the same finish as the structure, or an upholstered seat with a plywood back and polyurethane foam front under a fixed fabric or leather cover. Feet are black nylon, and the chair is stackable.
Specifications
- Dimensions: 53 x 50.5 x 77 cm (NWL1)
- Structure: solid ash
- Seat: ash veneered beech plywood, or upholstered
- Made in: Italy; indoor use
Story
From Newood to Newood Light
Brogliato Traverso kept extending the Newood family, which takes its starting point from classic Windsor chairs. In the Light version the backrest loses the 8 rods of the original, so the chair keeps the same character at a much lower weight.
Stacking
The chair is stackable, four high on its own. A metal-tube trolley with side padding holds up to twelve.
