Overview
The Muud Silent Sofa is a sofa designed by EOOS. Its screens open up a space inside a large room for confidential conversations and shared work, and the design is reduced in material and volume.
Construction
A wooden seat frame holds the sinuous springs, and the back and the screens each have a wooden frame. Seat and back have fixed upholstery, and the legs are aluminium. The screens have a sound-absorbing effect and come in a wide range of fabrics; the sofa itself is covered in leather or fabric. Every sofa has to be equipped with screens, and linked elements are joined by connecting straps of steel laminated with leather.
Specifications
- Legs: aluminium
- Screens: back screens, side screens and screen connections
- Electrification: optional, a power socket plus two USB A/C outlets
Story
Screens that shape a space
The back and sides of the screens can make private U-shapes, half-open L-formats or generous, open room dividers. The screens have a sound-absorbing effect, and they make it possible to create a space in a large room for confidential conversations.
Always happy to return to the office
Muud Silent is made for situations where people come together: communication with commitment on a level playing field. EOOS reduced the design for new uses, and the result is described as a sustainable and economical solution.
