Description
Overview
Moon is a bedside table designed by Mist-o in 2014. It consists of two side by side half circles that reveal its internal surfaces when opened.
Construction
The body is composed of two semi-cylinders in multilayer curved oak 7 mm thick: natural or charcoal-dyed oak with a water-based finish, or tobacco-dyed oak with an acrylic finish. Base, shelves and top are made of 15 mm thick MDF veneered with oak plates. The two portions are hinged together, and magnets inside the structural frame ensure sturdy closure. A weight stabilizer is screwed to the fixed base, which stands on plastic tips, and the moving part has castors for opening.

Two half circles that open
Mist-o designed Moon in 2014 as a bedside table made of two half circles standing side by side. When the table is opened, its internal surfaces are revealed.
Oak semi-cylinders on a hinge
The two semi-cylinders are in multilayer curved oak, and a hinge joins the two portions. Magnets inside the structural frame ensure sturdy closure, and the moving part has castors for opening. The table is made in a right and a left version.
