Extra-soft chair
Montera Mas increases the padding around the seat and winged backrest of the Montera profile. The moulded rigid-polyurethane shell is padded with polyurethane foam and takes a removable leather or fabric cover.
Bases and upholstery
Code 5559005 is available on solid-ash legs or four tapered steel legs. Published upholstery includes ColorSphere® and Nest leathers, three fabric categories and customer-supplied material.
Dimensions
Both drawn chair bases measure 47 × 58 × 83 cm. Additional vertical values of 48 cm for wood legs and 47 cm for metal legs are not labelled with axis names.
Story
More padding within the Montera profile
Roberto Lazzeroni developed Montera Mas as the softer dining member of the family. Poltrona Frau emphasises the increased cushioning and the backrest wings that wrap around the sitter.
A removable cover
Unlike the earlier Montera sheet, the Mas specification makes both leather and fabric covers removable. Its base can retain the solid-ash language of Montera or shift to four slender tapered steel supports.
