Description
Overview
Mecano is a modular shelving system in the Diesel Living with Moroso collection, credited to Diesel Designers. Its structural details, including the holes, bolts and joints, are left exposed instead of hidden, and the lines are clean and geometric.
Construction
The structure is varnished steel. Perforated uprights, adjustable in height with screws, carry shelves in two sizes. The system can be fixed to a wall or to a ceiling, where it works as a partition, and several systems can be combined into an elongated piece.
Specifications
- Structure: varnished steel
- Uprights: perforated, height adjustable with screws
- Shelves: two sizes
- Finishes: Raw Black or White RAL 9016
- Fixing: wall or ceiling
Story
An exposed architectural skeleton
Mecano belongs to the Diesel Living with Moroso collection and is a design that shows off its technical features rather than concealing them. The holes, bolts and joints of the bookcase stay visible and reveal a unique architectural skeleton.
Modular with industrial inspiration
The design is modular and has clear industrial inspiration. Clean, geometric lines run through the system, which can be installed on a wall or on a ceiling and combined with other systems.
