Camp Bed

Overview

Camp Bed is a double bed in the Diesel Living with Moroso Collection. Moroso describes its inspiration as the military world, expressed through a padded base, a tall upholstered headboard and projecting strips with rings at the sides. The design combines a clean profile with a notably comfortable character.

Construction

The bed has a padded base and a headboard with double stitching. The headboard can include an optional quilted insert with a diamond pattern, in a contrasting or matching covering. Moroso states that the covering is available in linen, cotton or leather; the quilted version is available in all materials.

Specifications

Bed 180, code DL8177, uses a 180 × 200 cm mattress. The technical drawing gives the overall footprint as 198 × 223 cm and the maximum headboard height as 248 cm. The product page also shows the bed in several covering combinations; the manufacturer describes those combinations as drawing on military tents, backpacks and sleeping bags.

Military reference

Moroso presents Camp Bed as a new bed inspired by the military world. Its padded base and tall headboard turn that reference into a domestic upholstered form, while the side strips and rings carry the utilitarian vocabulary into the silhouette.

Quilted headboard

The optional insert introduces a diamond pattern to the headboard and can be upholstered in a matching or contrasting covering. The page describes the resulting balance as a sleek profile with a cozy feel, and places the available combinations within the visual language of military tents, backpacks and sleeping bags.
