Description

Overview

Christophe Delcourt designed the Lou coffee tables for Minotti. Arranging Lou coffee tables near one another calls to mind a charming domestic landscape.

Construction

The construction combines modern technology with cabinetmaking tradition. A contoured internal structure in MDF carries a brushed larch veneer with an open-pore lacquer in Licorice colour, and the curved edges are milled. The top is 20 mm Calacatta marble or 15 mm Black pâte de verre, contoured and partially recessed so that it extends 5 mm above the table top. Adjustable feet in Hytrel® (soft, scratchproof rubber) have protective felt glides.

Specifications

  • Top: 20 mm Calacatta marble or 15 mm Black pâte de verre

Story

Marble and glass set into larch

The Lou tables pair a larch base in Licorice lacquer finish with tops in materials chosen to create unexpected contrasts. The class of Calacatta marble and the depth of pâte de verre sit well with the texture and feel of the wood.

Complex cabinetmaking

The construction of these tables is especially complex: it combines modern technology with cabinetmaking tradition. The contoured internal structure in MDF takes a larch veneer and is milled along the curved edges, and the top is partially recessed so that it extends 5 mm above the table top.
