Libra Sideboard

Overview

Libra Sideboard is Minotti's storage unit with rational, reflective volumes, designed by Giampiero Tagliaferri. Its recessed top is glass back-painted in the same shades as the glossy lacquered frame, and the base has tubular feet and a metal plate.

Construction

Its structure is MDF, 22 mm thick, assembled at 45°, with glossy lacquer on the doors, drawer fronts, side and back panels. A reinforced structural base of laminated MDF and aluminium, 25 mm thick, carries a 6 mm tempered glass top, recessed and back-painted in the colour selected for the structure. The legs are 8 mm metal blades varnished matt black, resting on cylindrical metal bars of Ø 25 mm in polished chrome, and adjustable feet in black SEBS.

Reflective volumes from the Libra family

Libra is a storage unit with rational, reflective volumes, inspired by the Libra family of coffee tables and dining tables, which share the same foot design. Giampiero Tagliaferri designed the sideboard for Minotti.

A recessed glass top over a lacquered frame

The top is recessed glass back-painted in the same shades as the glossy lacquered frame, which enhances the reflective and three-dimensional effect of the piece. The base combines tubular feet with a metal plate, and the sideboard is made in versions for living and dining spaces.
