Overview
Lealta is a high-back chair designed by Roberto Barbieri in 2006. Its model number is 2081.
Construction
The structure is aluminium alloy, with polyurethane padding at the seat and back. Zanotta offers removable fabric or leather upholstery, alongside a non-removable cowhide option. A white cotton over-cover is available in short and long forms; the long form continues across the legs.
Specifications
The official drawing shows 42, 57 and 106 cm without axis labels. A shorter vertical guide carries 45.5 cm; 106 cm is the largest vertical value.
Story
High-back proportion
Lealta extends the upholstered seat-and-back construction into a tall, narrow profile. Zanotta presents it as a single chair code rather than the three configurations offered for Lea.
Two layers of cover
The fitted outer cover may be removable fabric or leather, or fixed cowhide. Zanotta separately supplies an optional white-cotton loose cover: the short format reaches over the seat and back, while the long format also conceals the legs.
