Description

Overview

The Laurel armchair by Giampiero Tagliaferri for Minotti draws on Mid-Century forms and stylistic elements. A shell, in wood or upholstered in leather, holds the seat and back cushions and rises to support the soft armrests. It stands on a swivel base with a 360-degree movement and return, with a footstool listed on the same page.

Story

Mid-Century forms

Minotti says the Laurel seats take their inspiration from Mid-Century forms and stylistic elements, aiming for a unique and timeless design. The shell rises up to carry the soft padding of the armrests.

The rear band and the craft behind it

The back of the armchair is given a strong personality by a band in fabric or leather, resembling a martingale, fixed with two precious metal studs at the sides of the shell. In the leather version, Minotti says the shell is made with high-end leather-goods techniques, from sections that cover the structure completely, joined by vertical seams with couture-inspired details.
