Overview
The Kyo Chair is a swivel bucket chair designed by Pearson Lloyd for Walter Knoll, with seam patterns that structure the upholstery. The sheet lists models 1342, 1343, 1344 and 1345.
Construction
A plastic shell in three exterior colours, or a shell completely covered in fabric or leather, holds polyurethane moulded foam with a wadding cover. It sits on a four-star aluminium swivel base with glides and an optional return mechanism, or a five-star aluminium base with castors.

Story
A bucket seat with sports-car seams
Walter Knoll's press release calls bucket seats genuine cult objects and describes Kyo as a new, familiar love. The seams that structure the upholstery are compared to the seats of a sports car, and the shell is offered on the outside in plastic or completely covered with leather.
