Journey

Overview

Journey is a service trolley by Hannes Peer for Minotti. Minotti presents it as versatile and multifunctional: a support for moments of conviviality in the living room, and also a bar cabinet or food trolley for the dining area.

Construction

The characteristic cylindrical frame is curved plywood, 18 mm thick, veneered in brushed ash or in Canaletto walnut. It houses a central bottle compartment and a top drawer whose front is in glossy lacquer. A 4 mm mirror sheet sits above the drawer, and the bottom shelf is a black-lacquered MDF panel edged in polished stainless steel. The trolley rests on five castors that swivel through 360°.

The technical sheet draws the trolley at 50 cm in diameter and 64.5 cm high.

One frame, several uses

The page describes an elegant solution that changes to suit the most diverse needs and takes on a new guise each time. The cylinder of lacquered wood is the constant: it holds the bottle compartment, the drawer and the mirrored top.

Drawer and mirrors

The drawer opens from the lower part of its front and runs on fully extractable guides with a Blumotion soft-close system, rated for 30 kg. A second 4 mm mirror is attached to the upper part of the bottom panel. Minotti lists Journey in its 2024 Collection.
