Overview
Jason Lite Chair is an EOOS chair programme for Walter Knoll that the page calls delicate, light, stackable and linkable. It is shown here as the cantilever chair, model 1901, within a range with different seat widths and arm and back rests.
Construction
A tubular steel cantilever frame, highly polished chrome-plated or satin chrome, carries a foam-moulded seat with a micro-compartment spring core and a flexible back sprung with torsion springs. Four-leg models are also offered, with chrome steel or solid wood legs.
Specifications
- Size (1901): 49, 54 and 80 cm (axes not labelled on the drawing)
- Seat height, 1901 (sh): 46 cm
- Stacking: up to four chairs for the stackable cantilever versions
Story
A lighter Jason
Walter Knoll's sheet says Jason Lite enlarges the successful Jason chair programme, and the press text places it in today's minimalism: delicate, lightweight, stackable and attachable in rows, with reduced styling and the seating quality of an armchair.
One programme, many models
The sheet lists more than 20 models that vary in width, armrest and back, in cantilever and four-leg form, with satin-chromed or highly polished legs and a wood-leg option in nutwood, oak and oak stained wengé.
