Jason

Overview

Jason is a family of storage units by Giampiero Tagliaferri for Minotti, with sculptural, reflective volumes that combine functionality and decoration. Its distinctive trapezoidal shape has two tilted frame ends that become storage compartments, and it rests on large stainless steel discs.

Construction

The exterior is glossy lacquered MDF, and the 20 mm top, in wood or marble, is embedded in the visible steel frame. Top and underpanel carry an applied edge of polished stainless steel, 50 mm high and 3 mm thick, and the underpanel is 30 mm black lacquered MDF. The internal structure is 25 mm MDF with mitred corners. The two side units are open with a mirrored back panel, and MDF bases covered in polished stainless steel are set on height-adjustable ABS feet.
