Description

Overview

The Jaan Living Sofa is a modular sofa program by EOOS for Walter Knoll. Generous upholstered surfaces of sofa and chaise longue unfold over a delicate frame and appear to float, with lightness and weight in balance.

Construction

The upholstery sits on a beech frame with zigzag springs and is built in a casual version with down-filled ticking chambers or a formal version with wadding, both over a cold cure core sandwich. The base is aluminium in three finishes, and every cover can be removed.

Specifications

  • Overall height: 70 cm (sofa and récamière elements)
  • Models: 782 with 95 cm overall depth and 783 with 105 cm overall depth
  • Base: aluminium, in polished, bronze matt or black matt

Story

A softness to sink into

The casual look of the leather is complemented by a light down filling in the upholstery, chic and inviting at the same time, with a softness you want to sink into forever. The generous surfaces of sofa and chaise longue float over the delicate frame.

Back as front

What is in fact the back is effectively the front. Boards in glass or leather on the back provide spatial and visual separation, and the two models can be combined for sitting around a corner or opposite one another.
