Description

Overview

Roberto Lazzeroni designed Infinitamente, a marble dining table with a staggered double oval top on marble bases. It is the re-edition of the Infinito∞ table and, in Poltrona Frau's words, more a work of art than a design object.

Construction

  • Top: brilliant white Levigliani marble, cut from a single slab in two opposing parts, with a transparent polyester coating
  • Joint: a polished stainless steel blade insert finishes the line between the two parts
  • Supporting panel: MDF in matt black scratch-proof lacquer
  • Bases: Marquinia marble, each carved from a monolith, sculpted by a CNC machine and finished by hand, with a white plastic slide at the bottom

Specifications

  • Overall size: 340 x 120 cm (5655632)

Story

A table-sculpture

Infinitamente is the re-edition of the Infinito∞ table by Roberto Lazzeroni, a table-sculpture of absolute scenic impact. Its staggered double oval shape evokes the complementary forms of yin and yang and the inverted 8, the symbol of endless fulfilment and prosperity, hence the name.

Carved from a marble monolith

Each base is carved from a monolith of marble. The sculpting and hand finishing bring out the mineral stratification of the stone, so every base is visually unique and may show areas of different brightness and variations in shade and grain.
