Description
Overview
Ile Pouf is a stool designed by Piero Lissoni in 2003. A thin metal structure gives it a light and sophisticated shape, which makes the piece an object of contemporary beauty that works as a coffee table or a stool.
Construction
Stainless steel square tube makes the frame, which is left with a matte satin surface or coated with epoxy polyester powder. Beneath the cushioning of the indoor version sits a plywood panel; polyurethane foam is wrapped in acrylic fibres and then fabric or leather. All of the upholstery lifts away, fastened with Velcro.

A thin frame under a padded seat
Piero Lissoni designed Ile Pouf in 2003 around a thin metal structure, and that structure gives the piece its light and sophisticated shape. The result is an object of contemporary beauty that can serve as a coffee table or a stool.
Frame and seat
The frame is stainless steel square tube, either matte satin or powder coated with epoxy polyester in a Gunmetal grey or burnished shade. The seat is a plywood panel padded with polyurethane foam, with acrylic fibres and fabric or leather over it. Velcro holds the cover, which can be removed entirely.
