Description

Overview

The Glenn ottoman was designed by Roberto Lazzeroni as a companion to Poltrona Frau's 2019 armchair, while the manufacturer also presents it as an independent piece. Its elongated upholstered top can be used as a pouf, bench or footrest.

The complete Glenn ottoman

Construction

A birch-plywood structure carries elastic-belt suspension beneath polyurethane-foam padding. Four solid-ash legs form the base, offered in wenge-stained or moka-stained ash. The seat carries hand-worked capitonné detailing and the cover is not removable.

Story

From a musician's piano stool

Poltrona Frau says Glenn Gould's piano stool prompted Roberto Lazzeroni's design. The manufacturer links the piece to its 2019 armchair through matching hand-worked capitonné, yet describes the ottoman as deliberately capable of standing alone.

A separate companion

The product sheet calls Glenn a pouf-bench and says it can accompany the 2019 armchair or sit with other furniture. Its structure and dimensions distinguish it from the longer Glenn bench represented by the second drawing on the same sheet.
