Overview

Glenn is a pouf that can also be used as a bench or footrest, designed by Roberto Lazzeroni for Poltrona Frau. The bench version, SKU 5649251, is the one on this page.

Construction

The supporting structure is birch plywood and the springing is elastic belts, with polyurethane foam padding. The base is solid ash in a wenge (32) or moka (61) stain, on four legs. The seat has a handmade capitonné design in Pelle Frau leather.

A piano stool

Poltrona Frau recalls that the pianist Glenn Gould was so attached to his personal piano stool, an old chair adapted by his father, that he refused to play without it. That stool inspired Lazzeroni to design Glenn.

Pouf, bench or footrest

The company says Glenn was deliberately designed as a natural complement to the new 2019 armchair: the capitonné processing of the seat is identical to the handmade detailing on the armchair's backrest. Its personality and balanced proportions make it an independent and versatile item that is at home in any setting, alone or combined with other furnishings.
