Ginger Small Armchair

Overview

Designed by Roberto Lazzeroni in 2011, the Ginger Small Armchair was conceived alongside the Fred desk. Its compact, protective form is available with either a fixed support or a 360-degree swivel that returns to its starting position.

Upholstery and detail

• Outer shell option: a single 4 mm layer of Saddle Extra leather
• Inner surface: Pelle Frau® leather paired with the saddle-leather exterior
• Alternative: full leather or selected Kvadrat textile upholstery
• Edge detail: visible contrast stitching follows the outer perimeter
• Cover: fixed, not removable

Paired with Fred

Lazzeroni developed Ginger at the same time as the Fred desk. Poltrona Frau presents the fixed version for dining settings and the returning swivel version for a study, while also describing the armchair as a freestanding seat.

Two leather characters

The saddle-leather treatment makes the outer shell a firmer visual envelope around the softer inner leather. Contrasting thread traces its edge, turning the construction seam into the model's defining decorative line.
