Fiorile Dual Shelf Small Table

Overview

Roberto Lazzeroni drew the Fiorile dual-shelf small table for Poltrona Frau. Two surfaces sit at different levels: an upper top in wood or marble and a lower surface upholstered in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® leather, carried by a solid ash base with a triangular cross-section.

Construction

• Supports: solid ash, stained moka or wenge, triangular in section, standing on felt pads
• Upper top: ash-veneered birch plywood with cross-grain inlay, or marble
• Lower top: birch plywood covered in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® (SC)
• Reinforcement: technical mesh under marble; MDF under-top in matt black lacquer
• Metal parts: black painted steel anchoring plates and visible spacers

Two surfaces, one table

The dual-shelf version of Fiorile has a two-level structure: a spacious upper surface and a lower shelf. The upper top comes in wood or marble in a range of finishes, while the lower surface is covered in ColorSphere® leather.

Base and supports

Solid ash with a characteristic triangular cross-section carries both levels, and protective felt pads sit underneath. An MDF under-top lacquered matt black adds reinforcement and stability, and the visible spacers are black painted steel.
