Description
Overview
Field is a set of low tables by Vincent Van Duysen, dated 2026, created to accompany the Untitled sofa system. The chamfered detail introduced in the seat design becomes the distinctive sign of the table. It is a measured but recognizable gesture that reshapes the way the top is perceived and subtly transforms a familiar typology.
Construction
The top and legs are MDF wood fibre panel, the brace is steel and the ferrules are thermoplastic material. Glossy lacquered finishes emphasize the smoothness of the volume and the depth of the surface.
Specifications
Height 30 cm.
Story
A chamfer taken from the seat
In the Field low tables the chamfered detail of the Untitled seat design becomes the distinctive sign. The gesture is measured but recognizable, and it changes how the top of the table is seen.
Light on the surface
Light gently traces the changing geometry of the top and reveals its delicate tension. The result is a dynamic object, observed from different perspectives, finished in glossy lacquer.
