Overview
GUBI developed the F-Chair Outdoor Lounge Chair with Marcel Gascoin’s family from his original drawings. The chair evolved from the C-Chair but adopts a more relaxed incline, paddle-shaped armrests and a woven seat that widens toward the front.
Construction
The outdoor version combines natural teak with a wicker seat and backrest. GUBI highlights the crafted interlocking relationship between the armrests, rear legs and backrest.

Story
From C-Chair to F-Chair
Marcel Gascoin’s F-Chair shares the C-Chair’s tapered rear legs but changes the front legs to an upright stance. A more relaxed incline, paddle-shaped armrests and a woven seat that broadens at the front distinguish its more leisurely character.
Developed for outdoors
GUBI worked with Gascoin’s family from the designer’s original drawings, supported by research and prototyping, to develop this outdoor edition. Resolving the harmonious interlocking of armrests, rear legs and backrest required particularly high levels of craftsmanship.
