Description

Overview

Elas is a family of seats designed by Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27 for Minotti, shown on one page in bergère, armchair and footstool configurations. Minotti calls it a "domestic atlas of feminine design", a constellation of forms that pays tribute to women who shaped creative culture, architecture and contemporary art in the early twentieth century.

Story

A narrative of postures and materials

Minotti's text calls the family a narrative of postures, gestures and materials, and ties it to a vision of the home that is discerning, sensitive and profoundly human. Elas, it says, originates from a deep connection with material, shown in natural surfaces, gentle volumes and organic lines.

From living room to winter garden

Designed for domestic living, where it harmonises with the architecture, Elas also extends, according to the page, to winter gardens and transitional spaces leading outdoors.
