Overview

Dock (2019, Piero Lissoni) is described by B&B Italia as a collection of upholstered elements with a multiple soul, in the version with a 41 cm seat height. Its sofas are underscored by a highly textured platform that extends beyond the sides to create a support surface.

Construction

• Base frame: steel; tubular steel and steel profiles inside, with a multi-layered wood panel in the seat base
• Seat cushions: sterilized down and shaped polyurethane (different densities), with a polyester fibre cover
• Back cushions: sterilized down, polyester fibre cover
• Platform top: veneered MDF wood fibre panel; service elements with solid wood or glass tops
• Cover: fabric (cannetè profile) or leather

One system, many compositions

The page says the numerous elements make the collection highly flexible: the cushions play with sizes and proportions to put together double-sided, corner and chaise longue compositions, with or without backrests, for the centre of the room or for more traditional solutions.

Accessories on the platform

B&B Italia adds that extra elements, such as padded armrests, can be inserted between the seat cushions, while functional and supporting elements can be placed on the platform. The slender armrests are available in two depths and, like the backrest, are generously padded.
