Overview
Derby is Zanotta model 875: an armchair or bergère and a pouf. The official product entry lists the design years 2009 and 2010 and credits Noé Duchaufour Lawrance.
Construction
The armchair has a steel base, available as swivel or fixed with feet, and a stiff polyurethane exterior body covered in Cowhide 95. The internal body and pouf use polyurethane and heat-bound polyester fibre with elastic-strap suspension. Covers are removable in fabric or leather, and the pouf has a steel frame.
Identification
The representative official image shows the Derby armchair with a pouf. The saved Derby 875 sheet confirms the armchair/pouf configuration but contains no numerical dimensions.
Story
A saddlery reference
Zanotta says Derby's seams and shape are directly inspired by the world of saddles, the trade and the equestrian world's dream of escape.
Armchair and pouf
Derby is specified as an armchair or bergère and a pouf. A swivel steel base or a fixed base with feet is offered for the armchair, while the pouf has its own steel frame.
