Componibili Classic 3

Overview

Componibili Classic in its three-element form (code 4967) is a round storage unit by Anna Castelli Ferrieri for Kartell. Kartell calls the Componibili a timeless furnishing classic and gives the diameter of its round elements as 32 cm. The Classic line is sold as set stacks of two, three or four elements.

Construction

The Classic line is made as a single-unit structure. Kartell states that the modules are not separable, so these models cannot be taken apart or modified, and that wheels cannot be fitted because the base is designed for direct floor placement. The material is batch-dyed or painted ABS.

One unit, three elements

Kartell dates the round model to 1969: the sheet header reads “COMPONIBILI 1969” above the credit “Design Anna Castelli Ferrieri”, and the Museo timeline records the round version in the same year.

Fixed compositions

The three-element unit is drawn at 58.5 cm and 3.15 kg. The data sheet places it between the two-element unit (40 cm, 2.1 kg) and the four-element unit (77 cm, 4.2 kg), all with a plan of 32 × 32 cm.
