Description
Overview
Chester Line is a modular sofa system credited to Renzo Frau. Poltrona Frau presents it as the natural evolution of the classic Chester, lightened and updated for contemporary living: the sculpted sofa is deconstructed and multiplied into elements that can be combined in open or closed arrangements.

Story
From the classic to a system
The page recalls that Chester has been a Poltrona Frau classic since Renzo Frau presented it in 1912, and describes Chester Line as its natural evolution, lightened and updated for contemporary living. The sheet gives the same reading: the impeccable elegance and the iconic workings stay, while the sofa lightens, breaks up and multiplies.
What stays and what changes
The sheet lists the capitonné, the button stitching and the spiral of the armrest as the features kept from the classic. Unlike Chester and Chester One, the base under the seat is smooth, with no capitonné.
