Chester Line Ottoman

Overview

The Chester Line ottoman is the pouf of Chester Line, credited to Renzo Frau. The page gives it a frame of seasoned solid beech and poplar plywood with a light polyurethane foam padding, upholstered in Pelle Frau® and combinable with Poltrona Frau fabrics.

Feet and covers

• Feet: the page says the pouf comes with feet in different sizes and finishes; the sheet lists spherical 6 cm, high 12 cm, leather-covered wooden 13.7 cm and brushed aluminium 6 cm versions
• Cover: all leather, or leather with a fabric seat cushion; only a fabric seat cushion has a removable cover

Smooth base under the seat

The sheet names a point that sets the Chester Line pieces apart from the Chester and Chester One versions: on the Chester Line pieces the base under the seat is smooth, without capitonné, while the capitonné of the backrest and armrests of armchair and sofa, and of the ottoman, is handmade.

Leather and fabric

According to the sheet the leather covers the base while a fabric can be used on the seat cushion, in the same combinations as the rest of the line: Pelle Frau® ColorSphere®, Heritage, Nest or Soul, with fabric variants (A, B, C or customer's own material) for the first four, and Velvety in leather only.
