Overview
Canvas Dock is the foundation for desks, storage, surfaces and screens in Herman Miller's Canvas Office Landscape, built so components can be added or removed as needs change.
Construction
The dock structure is a structural steel wall with a clear anodized aluminum top rail carrying power and data. Lower cladding, dock feet, gallery panels, Team Bridge surfaces and upper storage attach to it.
Specifications
The dock is 42 to 96 in wide and has an 18 1/8 in high frame and top rail. Clad, it is 3 in thick.
Story
Components that move
Herman Miller introduces Canvas Dock as a system that keeps up with organisations whose needs change, with additions and removals made easily and components placed wherever they are needed.
Place for teams
The Team Bridge spans low storage to bring four users together without increasing floor area, while upper storage and gallery panels mark the boundaries between workstations.
Credited designers
Herman Miller's Canvas Dock listing credits Nicholas Dodziuk, Douglas Ball, Joey Ruiter and Jeffrey Bernett, who are also named for the Canvas Office Landscape platform in its brochure.
