Description
Overview
The Bread console by Faye Toogood for Tacchini begins with a daily gesture, cutting two ciabatta loaves and piling up the slices, which gives a structure of soft, organic shapes. The console is part of the Bread and Butter collection created with Faye Toogood.
Construction
The structure is stained ash wood and the top has a natural stained maple inlay. The ash is sculpted for the warmth and tactility of wood, and the inlay recalls buttered bread.
Specifications
Code 0BRDCN160 measures 158 x 40 x 85 cm (W x D x H).
Story
Two ciabattas, balanced
Two ciabattas were cut and the slices balanced to make the Bread console. It belongs to the Bread and Butter collection created with Faye Toogood, whose studio values a hands-on process built on material and model-making.
A slice of buttered bread
The console is sculpted in ash for the warmth and tactility of wood. Its maple inlay is dyed a delicate primrose, which brings to mind a slice of buttered bread.
